Sales/Greenhouse Associate

In this role, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales transactions, and assisting customers in finding the products and plants they need. You'll also help maintain the greenhouse by cleaning and watering plants, restocking inventory, and performing other duties required in a greenhouse/farm setting.
 
To be successful in this role, you must have reliable transportation and be able to safely lift 25 pounds, bend, and stoop. You should also be comfortable working in various weather conditions and in an environment with dust and allergens. Flexible hours are available, including the possibility of overtime as required.
 
As a Seasonal Sales Associate, you'll work 2-5 days per week with both 4-hour and 8-hour shifts available. The starting wage for this position is $12.00 per hour, and employees are eligible for a 25% discount.

General Greenhouse Labor 

Donald A Schuster Greenhouse, a family-owned greenhouse located in Elyria, Ohio, is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. You will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our greenhouse operation. Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to transplanting, potting, moving, spacing, and watering plants. This role also involves working collaboratively with a team to produce and grow multiple crops efficiently.

Responsibilities:
Transplanting seedlings and plants into appropriate containers.
Potting and repotting plants as necessary.
Moving plants within the greenhouse facility to optimize growth conditions.
Watering plants according to their specific needs, as directed.
Collaborating with colleagues to pull orders for wholesale customers.
Maintaining a clean and organized work environment within the greenhouse.

To be successful in this role, you must have reliable transportation and be able to safely lift 25 pounds, bend, stoop, and have the ability to stand of extended periods of time. You should also be comfortable working in various weather conditions and in an environment with dust and allergens. Flexible hours are available, including the possibility of overtime as required
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately is highly important.

Previous experience in a greenhouse or agricultural setting is preferred but not required.
